Ire Nbe Nile: Commonwealth Estate Okeho By Bola Olalere

Twenty years ago, when we started OkehoNews,  some people did not give us the benefit of doubt, perhaps because it's a new idea and it's the first in our community.
Others considered our community too local and not economically viable for 'newspapering.'  Some other sees  us  as too young and poor to embark on such mission. Newspaper proprietorship was considered the affairs of the state or  successful politicians/businessmen.
But from one painful step to another; with determination and sacrifice-taking the heat of being the first and the help of Olodumare and our patrons, we thrived and survived. OkehoNews now prides itself as the longest surviving community newsmagazine in Oyo state.
Kinsmen, with total disregard to the risk and stress associated with being the first, here we present to you another 'First' for our people in Okeho and OkeOgun in general: THE COMMONWEALTH ESTATE, Okeho.
For so long, we have relied on government and politicians to change our lot, overlooking the critical roles of private sectors in community development.
Commonwealth Estate Okeho is a member of OkeOgun Green Estates; a gated residential estate,  with unique architectural  designs and layouts along Okeho Elewure Iseyin Road. The estate is a private initiative aiming at providing comfortable, modern and fully serviced estate in a  serene country-side environment for our people.
Commonwealth Estate comes with facilities like perimeter fencing, good road networks, central water system and 24hours drone surveillance for enhanced security.
Let me let you into a bit of our thinking: It took Okeho about 50 years to expand from Olele to Okeho Iganna Grammar school area and since 1980 the town has been crawling to expand to Moshra Garden, apparently the last facility along Okeho Elewure Iseyin Road.
With Commonwealth Estate, we want to expand the town to Elewure in less than ten years. By the grace of Olodumare, we will build the Commonwealth Estate and we believe this will spur other land owners along the road to develop thier own land.
Due to the bad state of  Okeho Iganna road, Okeho did not even extend to that side of the town, everything stops at Isale Alubo for more than 100 years, that we have returned from Ahoro.
The topography on Ilero road did not allow much development, the only area which we can expand to is Okeho Elewure Iseyin Road, that is where we have relatively plain land and that is why we chose the location for the estate.
We need your support, because we think this is good for our community.
We  will be open to advise, guidance and suggestions. We are human and can not be perfect.
It's therefore my pleasure to invite you to join the Onjo of Okeho and his Chiefs on the 1st of April 2022 at Commonwealth Estate Okeho site as he unveil the first fully serviced residential estate in OkeOgun.
Thank You.
Ire nbe Nile
