Governor Makinde Seeks Support for Iwajowa Obas

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde has urged the people of Ilaji-ile, Iwere-ile, Idiko-Ago and Idiko-Ile in Iwajowa Local Government Area of the State to cooperate with their new beaded crowned Obas in order to move their ancient towns forward socially, economically and culturally.  Governor Makinde speaking through the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye during the official crowning ceremony of Oba Lawal Oyedepo O Alebiosu, Bajigan of Ilaji-ile, Oba, Rev/Evang John Odedokun , Ayinla Ilufemiloye, Oniwere of Iwere-ile, Oba Joseph Tewogbola Oyediran, Onidiko of Idiko-Ago, and Oba Nicolas Oyelami Folaranmi, Onidiko-Ile appreciated all the sons and daughters of the respective towns for their cooperation and maturity, adding that he was sure that the good names of the indigenes has been registered in the history of the towns.  Speaking further, Governor Makinde congratulated the new Obas on their new status as a b

Ayetoro-Oke, an ancient town in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State on Tuesday 25th April, 2023 received unprecedented crowd when the Gegun of Ayetoro-Oke Land, His Royal Majesty Oba Najeemdeen Afolabi Osuolale Adesola Adelaja (Tukuru II) became a beaded crown king. The yearning and aspirants of the people of Oke Ogun area has been well captured in the 2023 budget for the overall development of the region. This assurance was part of speech delivered by Oyo state Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal who represented the State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde at the 2022 Ilero Day Celebration. The Deputy Governor noted that the Seyi Makinde led administration since inception has been running an inclusive government with people oriented programmes for the overall development of the state. He disclosed that rehabilitation work has commenced on Alaga-Ilero-Ayegun road. Okeho Day Celebration set to hold November 26th 2022

Plans are in top gear for the week-long activities that will culminate in the grand finale of the 2022 Okeho Day celebration. The event will begin on November 20, 2022, while the grand finale will take place on November 26, 2022. Dady Sunday Oyetunji Thomas was born on the 18th of October 1942 into the family of Late Pa. Fatorisa and Madam Kikelomo Thomas of Ikolaba Compound, Ogan, Okeho, Oyo state. He attended Baptist Day School Isia, Okeho, Saint James School, Ibadan and Methodist Modern Secondary School, Osogbo. He was later trained as a professional photographer with "Ariyo's Photo", Oke Paadi, Ibadan between 1961 and 1964. He started his own photography studio as a Master Professional Photographer in the year 1964 at Olosa-oko, Oke Paadi, Ibadan. He later took a decision to move to Adamashigba, Ibadan. The name of his studio was "White Photos" when he started in 1964. He went for professional photography course (Colour Laboratory) in Italy in 1975. When he returned to Nigeria from Italy, he went into partnership with one of his good friends, Akinade Oniti (of blessed memory) to establish a joint company called TUNAKIN Photo in 1982.
