Welfare of the citizens is my concern - Borikansunwon



Chairman Caretaker Committee, Kajola Local Government, Aare (Hon) Salimonu Adebayo Afolabi Borikansunwon has reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the inhabitants of the council.
Afolabi stated this during the commissioning of Hand pump Borehole recently, the Boreholes commissioned were Owo-Iya Hand Pump Borehole, Hon Abass Olopoenia Hand Pump Borehole, Adekidero hand pump boreholes and Olori Compound Hand pump Borehole all at Ward 004 (Ogan/Bode)


He also commission Idi-Ara Hand pump Borehole at Isia, Ward 009. The Chairman sought the opportunity to promise other Wards in the council that they will repair their own borehole both hand pump and motorized borehole very soon.
Most of the five Hand Pump Borehole was disfunction since 10/12 years ago.
In his words, He appreciated God for making him realize what past government can not fix for the past eight years, that is working towards making the lives of the citizen of the local government more meaningful and bearable, knowng fully well “that a community that can-not feed its citizen is not fit to exist”


Speaking further, he gave kudos to the State government for giving him the opportunity to serve his community “ I want to express my gratitude to the State Government, Engr. OLuwaseyi Makinde for this kind gesture”
In his own contribution, the chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Kajola Local Government Hon Johnson Ojebiyi charged people to support Engr. Seyi Makinde, Afolabi Borikansunwon led administration in the State and Local government respectively.
He therefore urged them to continue voting for PDP because with PDP in Power everything will be going smoothly.
They both urged the users of the borehole to use it judiciously.
The Director of the works in the local government Mr Salami Ismail stated that work is still ongong on remaining disfunctional Hand Pump Borehole and motorized Borehole in other Wards and be ready for commission very soon for people consumption.
Present at the occasion, Alh. T.A Salau, Alhaji Adele Alawiye, Party exco members, Supporters, Deputy Director of works, Mrs Sanusi Sulaimon among others.

    This is Good news Water is life and Only Clean potable AVAILABLE water can serve any community in need of Quality Water for their sanitary ,domestic use.Access is crucial for safe quality water for drinking and cooking & home hygiene.The Yorubas & Afro Jazz musician Fela Anikulapo Kuti said it all.
    "Omi kolota" meaning Water has no enemy.
    Why has the UN water Decade programs not reached or impacted into rural Nigerian areas after 30 years !?That's why Local Governments Adminstration is close & crucial for delivering effective small scale water supply infrastructure to doorstep consumers at The LGAs.Hoping this supply project will go round important towns like Ilero,Ilua,Ayetoro & notable villages & farms surrounding them too.
    God bless Oyo State Government reinforcing this basic amenity service as a priority of political Administration in the grassroots.

    Lest I forget about Maintenance.Simple Notification on Effective operation of Structural Amenity like Motorised Boreholes must be boldly pasted round the facility so that it can last long & work efficiently.There are different models of Borehole machines depending on their size & capacity for water & water yielding capacity of the location the borehole is sunk.
    A few permits just once annually for a week & others may require frequent cleanup.I installing consultants know best which will sustain it's functionality.

Prominent groups within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Kajola LG led by Hon.
